Emily has spent the last several years combining her passion for digital media and art with her expertise for business development and entrepreneurship. After graduating with her BFA in Musical Theatre in 2017, she spent time at School of Rock Memphis where she managed marketing, event planning, and more. This fueled her passion for working with small businesses and ultimately inspired her to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration at The University of Memphis, where she served as a graduate Assistant to Dr. Kathy Tuberville.
Summer 2019 marked a great achievement for her as I was selected to participate in the ImagineU Summer Internship program at the Crews Center for Entrepreneurship. Her startup, PetsFurU, won the opportunity to pitch at the StartCo Demo Day in front of hundreds of investors and community members. After graduating with her MBA, Emily began work as a Professional Development Specialist at the Avron B. Fogelman Professional Development Center (PDC) in Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Emily spearheaded the move to online learning by shifting their flagship certificate program to an online format. She built the new Virtual Complete Professional Program (VCPP) course via eLearn and produced multiple virtual workshops for the course. Emily joined the Aaron Capital team as a Marketing Manager in January 2021. She was promoted to Managing Director in October 2021, after earning her SIE, Series 63, 24 & 79 securities licenses. Emily now spends most of her time working on M&A and capital raise transactions with her firm. In her free time she works as a scenic artist at community theatres in her area. |
